Taylor BloomTaylor Bloom

Taylor Bloom’s playing experience includes high school, collegiate (UMD), the Washington Wild Things (Frontier Professional Baseball League), and the Bloomfield-Birmingham Beavers (United Shores Professional Baseball League). While at UMD, Bloom earned a spot on the Los Angeles Regional All-Tournament Team (2015) and the Third Team All-Big Ten (2016). He attended and played for Riverdale Baptist High School where he made Second Team All-Atlantic Honors (Perfect Game USA) and Second Team Washington Post All-Met (2014), was rated among the top 500 players of his age group (Perfect Game USA), and earned the Prince George’s Gazette Player of the Year (2012 and 2014). Presently, Bloom is head coach for API Baseball Academy 14U and the API Director of Player Development.

Tayler StilesTayler Stiles

Tayler Stiles attended and played baseball for Bishop McNamara High School. His high school accolades include 2013 1st Team All-Met Selection, 2013 Capital Gazette Player of the Year, 2013 Team Maryland Selection (MVP Pitcher), 2013 Brooks Robinson All Star (Most Outstanding Pitcher), and 2013 MD Crabfest All Star. Stiles attended and played for the University of Maryland. His team won three NCAA Regionals, two NCAA regional championships, and two NCAA Super Regionals. He hold 12 career wins and a 3:1 K:BB ratio with 127 K’s to just 42 BB’s in 154 innings. Stiles has over five years of coaching experience, including two years with API Baseball Academy. Presently, Stiles is head coach for API Baseball Academy 15U.

Jack BulgerJack Bulger

Jack Bulger is a catcher, pitcher, and utility player in his senior year at DeMatha High School. Bulger is committed to Vanderbilt University. He is an Under Armour and Perfect Game All-American. Bulger made the USA Baseball 18u National Team and travelled to Taiwan and South Korea. He spent a month down at IMG Academy for the inaugural Prospect Development Pipeline League (PDP) learning from some of baseball’s most reputable players such as Derek Jeter, Chipper Jones, Barry Larkin, Ryan Howard, Lance Berkman, Andy Pettitte, and many more. Bulger is a former API Baseball Academy player.

Brandon ErnstBrandon Ernest

Brandon Ernest attended and played baseball for Riverdale Baptist High School where his all-time record was 111-13. While there, he and his team were tree-time private school state champions (2011-2013) and NACA National Champions (2014). Ernest held a career batting average of .318 and was named to the 1st team All-Gazette (2014). Ernest attended and played baseball for Farmingdale State College. In 2015, he led Farmingdale State in ERA (2.30). In 2016, he led Farmingdale State in RBIs (18). In 2018, he led in On-Base Percentage (.423), walks (17), and stolen bases (13), and held a 0.00 ERA. To this day, Ernest holds the Farmingdale State record for most stolen bases in a game (6). Presently, Ernest is assistant coach for API Baseball Academy 14U.

Lane FarmerLane Farmer

Lane Farmer attended and played at three colleges throughout his collegiate baseball career: Davis and Elkins College (DII), Chesapeake CC (DI), and Frostburg State University (DIII). Farmer was a catcher throughout his entire high school and collegiate career. In his senior year at Frostburg State, Farmer held a .333 batting average and a .397 on-base percentage; he had 56 hits, 6 doubles, 35 RBIs, 30 runs scored, 7 HRs, and a fielding average of .995. Farmer and his team went to the Division 3 World Series and ranked second in the country. He was a 2015 CAC Conference Champion, a 2015 Regional Champion, and selected as 1st Team All- Region and MVP of the Regional Championship. After college, Farmer worked at the Under Armour Performance Center in Baltimore, MD as a trainer specializing in athlete specific training with high school and collegiate athletes and assisted with professional players in a variety of sports. He has also provided sport-specific training to some minor league professional baseball players. Farmer brings a unique style of training to increase sport-specific skill output in a variety of positions.

John MurphyJohn Murphy

John Murphy attended and played for the University of Maryland, College Park where he was captain for two of the four years. He had 75 career appearances (7th in team history). In his career, he had 16 saves (3rd most in team history), 11 of which were in his senior year. Farmer and his team won two state championships in New Jersey Non-Public A conference. Farmer currently plays in the United Shores Professional Baseball League.
